Christmas, Mushishi, More Link, and STORY

I have some REAL BLOG CONTENT for you guys:

I got a Wii for Christmas.  It is beautiful.  I have named it KAwAii.   For obvious reasons.  Now I can play Skyward Sword when it comes out!  That was about the extent of my planning when I asked for it... does anyone know of any good games for the Wii? :D

I got My Chemical Romance's new CD, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, for Christmas as well.  I wouldn't want any one of MCR's members as a neighbor, but WOW, THEY ARE AMAZING AT WHAT THEY DO.  Check out this music video for their song "SING:" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTgnDLWeeaM  It is the most epic music video ever.  If they made this into a movie, I would go see it.

I got lots of other cool stuff too... but remember people, Christmas is not about Wiis or CDs, Christmas is about God's gift to us.  He sacrificed His son to give us the gift of life.  We sacrifice money, time, and sometimes dignity ("Mom, can I have some money to go Christmas shopping?") to give our family and friends random stuff they likely don't need in a feeble attempt to immitate that.  So Christmas is sort of about stuff--gifts-- after all, but not in the way you were thinking.

Wow, so much ACTUAL CONTENT.  I might be getting the hang of this!

Now for more fanart.

The Master Approaches
The mushi are like "Uh-oh... here comes THAT guy..."

One fateful night, my sister and I picked a random anime to watch on Netflix because we didn't have anything specific in mind and we wanted to be entertained.  That anime was Mushishi, and I fell in love with it.  If you haven't watched it or heard of it, watch it now.  It's about this guy who wanders an older version of Japan and helps people who are troubled by these ghostlike, mostly invisible creatures called Mushi.  The first four episodes are on Youtube, and the first ten are on Hulu, and ALL OF THEM are on Netflix if you have it, so you have no excuse for not watching it!  Here's a link to the first episode on Youtube:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdhR5XZNXbs

I See "Dead" People
I couldn't come up with a better title.

"The people aren't dead, they've just been turned ghostly by the feindish mantle of Twilight Zant has cast over the peaceful Kingdom of Hyrule...  but yah, I see 'em."

Wow, I have NEVER drawn THIS character before! *lol scarcasm*

I have finally come up with a story.  Told you I would :D  I haven't written out enough of it to post anything yet, but I'll have the prologue finished for my next post.  The story, Fate's Challengers, is about how a prince (the second-oldest one), a witch (actually a witch in training), a ghost (you'll never guess), and perhaps other characters I haven't thought of yet give an ancient prophecy a run for its money.  I just have a basic idea of the storyline so far, so I'm just as eager as you all to see what happens and how it ends! ....... well, ok, I'm probably a lot more eager, considering how many pageviews this blog gets!  On the bright side, at least I don't have to change the name of the blog!  A HA HA HA, got to love the internet!

*Random Post*

Today, I have ACTUAL REAL LIFE CONTENT TO SHARE:

The family Christmas tree fell over.  It was sad.  We put it back up, though.

...yeah, I am so bad at this blogging thing.  Wheeee!  Here's another pretty picture of Link acting stupid:

Time Travel
I think Hyrule was safer under Ganondorf's rule...

I am still in the process of coming up with a story.  In the meantime, let's make some cool food!  I have zero skill at cooking, but trust me, this is so easy to make that Misa from Death Note could do it.

Soda Jello

Hey, let's make it with Misa.  It's that easy.
             Figure 1.1  Misa

Step 1:  Get out a package of jello.  Read the directions on the box.  Follow those directions exactly...
Figure 1.2  Reading the instructions on the box
(be sure to follow them also...)

...EXCEPT add a cup of soda instead of a cup of cold water.  (I believe you can also add boiling soda instead of boiling water, but I have never tried that.)
        Figure 1.3  Soda, not water

Step 2:  You're done!  Yaaayyyy!!!  Feel good about yourself and put your masterpiece in the fridge.
           Figure 1.4  YAAAYYYYY

The best part is, there are a zillion different kinds of jello and a zillion different kinds of soda, so you can experiment with it a lot!  There are also a zillion different kinds of other beverages, such as orange juice and whatnot.  The possibilities are endless.  I love jello, it's...

Uh, oh, what's this?

...

Poor Misa.

Winter Fun (And Poor, Poor Pooh Bear)

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, everyone!

No Rupees In Here
You just have to check jars and pots wherever you see them; you never know.

Invade the movie Aladdin, Link.  You'll find Rupees there.  Leave Mr. Pooh alone.

Pooh (C) A. A. Milne, Walt Disney, whoever owns him.

I am still working on coming up with a good idea for an original story.  In the meantime, I've written a very short story... that rhymes!  It's actually a crossover fanfiction, but in a good way.
Peace of Heart
The mean Grinch's heart was two sizes too small
The Whos called up Hyrule--"Please help! Save us all!"
So Zelda told Link and they scoured the land
Until Link held twelve 'piece of heart's in his hand
The two then got ready and went on a trip
Climbed over tall mountains; tried not to slip
Then, just a few days before Christmas, they found
The Grinch in his cave, moody, skulking around
"Hi there," Zelda called, "How are you, Mr. Grinch?"
He turned, but his mouth did not curve up an inch.
Zelda said, "We've brought more than just kind salutations!"
Link nodded (he's silent in most conversations)
The Grinch came outside. Saw the gifts in the snow
As he picked up each one, his heart started to grow!
"Merry Christmas," said Zelda. Link stood there and beamed.
The Grinch smiled back! He was nicer, it seemed!
"Don't know what these are, but they're great!" The Grinch said
Then he went in his cave and came back with his sled
They flew down the mountain--Whoville sure was surprised!
But now the Grinch had a new light in his eyes!
The Grinch and his Hylian friends helped prepare
Until Christmas day came. Then they danced in the square!
After much celebration, Link took Zelda's hand
And showed her how happy they'd made this strange land
Their work here was done, so they gathered their packs
And slipped out the gates to their long journey back
But waiting outside was the Grinch and his sleigh!
"Don't tell me you're going to walk the whole way!"

When Christmastime comes, everyone do your part
For kindness's the best way to spread peace of heart.

PUPPY LINK ...also, I will write a story on here, yay!

Somehow, pencils and things were left within my grasp and more art happened:
Twilight Princess Cover Sketch

This is a replication of the Twilight Princess cover.  I didn't trace it!

I can draw Link, I can draw Puppy Link, I can draw pretty background designs, and I can draw the winged Triforce thingie, but so help me, I cannot draw big squares.

Puppy Nose???

If I magically got turned into a puppy, I would totally spend a few minutes staring at my  nose.  Just saying.

This blog is becoming quite saturated with Link.  I am contemplating whether or not this is a problem.  It is also largely devoid of actual content/stories/whatnot.  I am also contemplating whether or not this is a problem.  I would feel strange writing about my life on the internet... first of all, no one would care, second of all, I would be living with the sense of having to relate everything exciting I do.  I know!  I will write a story.  Comment any and all suggestions... otherwise, be prepared for something emo with unicorns in it.  I'm not even kidding.

MOAR Legend of Zelda

Groundward
Has everyone seen the trailer for Skyward Sword, Legend of Zelda's latest installment??
Durr, you jumped off a cliff, Link; what did you think was going to happen?

LOL

This picture is dedicated to the homework that I should have been doing instead of drawing.

Oh, and
SKYWARD SWORRRDDDD!!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!  i cant wait lol :D

We Never Talk
A reference to the game Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons.  When Link gives a ribbon to that hooded thing as part of a quest, she promptly decides to go on a date with him.  Needless to say, she does most of the talking...

STALKER
Ocarina of Time Owl did not come across as helpful and almost fatherly.  Ocarina of Time Owl came across as liking little boys.

I try not to post rough sketches, but I thought this was fairly funny, and I didn't really feel like touching it up.  Wheeeeeeee.

Naruto Fanart

Dance
Hooray for Hayate and Yugao, and hooray for making up dance moves.  Also hooray for not drawing the feet.

Proctor No. 3
Part of the reason why I like Hayate so much is that while all of the little ninjas are squabbling, falling in love, having flashbacks, etc., he's actually living real life... coming in sick to his crummy job.  Each of those little main character ninjas, for all of the drama and angst they traumatically suffer during the Chunin Exams, will probably go down in ninja history as one of Naruto's chums.  Hayate's just a random Jonin with a crummy job (But hey, at least he can make and keep a relationship!).

Random Fanart

The Quagsire
A quagsire sits by a pond sparkling blue
Quietly dreaming; perhaps humming too
His ponderous tail gently swings to and fro
Otherwise, he's so still that it's almost as though
A giant blue statue enjoys the warm day--
Enjoys in a thoroughly quagsire way
